Inflation Calculator
Estimate how the purchasing power of a given amount changes over time under different inflation rates,
and see the equivalent future amounts needed to maintain today’s purchasing power.

Compounding Effect:
Even seemingly low annual inflation (like 2–3%) can significantly erode purchasing power over 10–20 years. -
Remaining Purchasing Power:
“Remaining purchasing power X%” means that if the nominal amount does not grow, it will only buy X% of what it does today after a certain number of years. -
Equivalent Future Amount:
To maintain today’s standard of living in the future, your income or assets generally need to grow at least in line with inflation, or slightly above it. -
Personal Finance Insight:
Keeping all your wealth in cash without any growth is effectively accepting an “invisible loss” caused by inflation over time.
