  • BMI 是什么?· What is BMI?
    BMI(Body Mass Index,身体质量指数)是用体重除以身高平方得到的数值,用于粗略判断成人体重是否在一个合理范围内。
    BMI is calculated from your weight and height and is commonly used as a simple indicator to classify underweight, normal weight, overweight, or obesity in adults.
  • 中国成人 BMI 参考 · Chinese adult BMI guideline:
    偏瘦:BMI < 18.5
    正常:18.5 ≤ BMI < 24.0
    超重:24.0 ≤ BMI < 28.0
    肥胖:BMI ≥ 28.0
    Under Chinese guideline, BMI <18.5 is underweight, 18.5–23.9 is normal, 24.0–27.9 is overweight, and ≥28.0 is obese.
  • WHO 成人 BMI 参考 · WHO adult BMI guideline:
    Underweight:BMI < 18.5
    Normal:18.5 ≤ BMI < 25.0
    Overweight:25.0 ≤ BMI < 30.0
    Obesity:BMI ≥ 30.0
    WHO guideline is often used in international comparisons; however, Asian populations may need slightly lower cut-offs.
  • 局限性 · Limitations:
    BMI 只根据身高和体重计算,无法区分脂肪与肌肉,对儿童、孕妇、运动员及老年人等人群的参考意义有限。
    BMI is only based on height and weight, and cannot distinguish muscle from fat. It is less accurate for children, pregnant women, athletes and the elderly.
